How to Meet Singles in the 21st Century

Remember buying a computer only to be told the next day 'it's out of date' and there's a new snazzy one just come out? Well with the introduction of laptops, iPhones and tablets dating really has changed. Gone are the days that your only option was to approach someone in a club or bar. All you now have to do is turn on your ‘out of date’ electronic device and you are ready to date. So what options do you have?

Cocktails at Christopher's Covent Garden

I have long been a fan of Christopher’s Martini Bar and Restaurant but hadn’t popped by for one of their fabulous spiced mandarin caipirinha’s in a while so what better excuse to go than for cocktails and a light dinner before the theatre?

With time tight my date and I headed straight upstairs to the restaurant, the way being lit by candles up the historic beautiful spiral staircase.

The Undateables

I don’t know about you but last night I was shifting rather uncomfortably in my seat whilst watching ‘The Undateables’, Channel 4 programmes have a knack of doing that to me and this was no exception. The show follows several people all of whom are deemed ‘undateable’ for various reasons. Hmm surprised I didn’t see my ex’s on there….

First Date Etiquette - Who Pays?

A while back I discussed the first date etiquette on splitting the bill in ‘To Dutch or not to Dutch, that is the question’. This caused quite a stir amongst some who felt that us ladies should offer to pay at least half the bill. My advice if you recall was exactly that, of course we should offer…that doesn’t mean however a gentleman should accept. I am all for women’s rights and ‘paying our way’ and well all that!

Mr Hot Stuff

A month or so ago I had a date. A date I almost didn’t make. Why? Because I received a message an hour before. It read ‘Can’t wait to see you Hot Stuff’. Capital H and capital S. My housemate had just returned from work as I was making a dash from the bathroom, towel on head, when said message came through. ‘Nooooooo’ I wailed, why had he sent me that?!

Madhatters Afternoon Tea for a great date!

If you want to to take your date somewhere fabulous, a little different and sophisticated then look no further than the Madhatters Afternoon Tea at the Sanderson Hotel here in the big smoke.

Tasty rainbow sandwiches, delicious warm scones, fizzing lollipops, queen of heart mousses and little 'drink me bottles' that will have you bouncing off the walls for the rest of the day. All washed down with a glass or two of bubbles.
